The article seeks to demonstrate Erik Satie's relationship to polyphony throughout his career. To this end, with an analysis of his writings, music and other musicological studies on him, we intend to explain the reasons that led him to return to study at the Schola Cantorum, how the contact with polyphony changed his composing processes, and what impact it had on his work and career, which provided an artistic passport to French society.en
