THE WORK AS A FOUNDING CATEGORY TO UNDERSTAND THE SERINGUEIRO IN THE STATE OF ACRE: FROM THE FOREST TO THE CONDOMS FACTORY OF XAPURI

Abstract

The objective of this article is to understand the seringueiros living in Resex Chico Mendes and in the settlement projects in the state of Acre as a forest worker and that, from 2008, also becomes a worker at the Condoms Factory of Xapuri. At first, these subjects are built through a close metabolic relationship with nature which shows their life, work and territory in a way that its use value permeates their everyday existence. On the other hand, it is from their initiation as latex supplier for Natex Condom that significant changes happen in their constitution of living and working caused by the linking to the logic of capital. Therefore, the work takes on a central role in the analysis, as besides representing the basic category of the social being, it is a relevant tool for the reproduction of capital through the subjection of labor to capital / State / Natex.
