Helmintos parasitas de anuros hilídeos procedentes do rio Paraopeba, Brumadinho, MG.

Abstract

Os anfíbios habitam diferentes ambientes ao longo de sua vida, resultando em maior exposição a comunidades parasitárias, o que os tornam interessantes quanto ao estudo helmintológico, entretando pouco se conhece sobre os parasitas associados a eles. Este estudo teve como objetivo realizar o levantamento helmintológico de anuros da família Hylidae ao longo das margens do rio Paraopeba, Brumadinho, MG após o rompimento da barragem de rejeitos da mina Córrego do Feijão. Foram capturados 136 anuros da família Hylidae. Os animais foram eutanasiados, dissecados e os órgãos removidos. Os helmintos foram coletados do estômago, intestino, pulmão, fígado, rim e cavidade celomática. Os nematoides foram clarificados. Dos 136 anuros analisados, 35 estavam parasitados por helmintos do filo Nematoda. O presente estudo expôs o primeiro registro dos gêneros Cosmocercidae e Oswaldocruzia parasitando Boana lundii; Physaloptera parasitando Boana faber; Ochoterenella parasitando Scinax fuscovarius. Além de ser o primeiro a apresentar as espécies Ololygon luizotavioi, Bokermannohyla circumdata e Boana crepitans parasitadas por helmintos, mostrando a importância do estudo helmintológico de anuros brasileiros e a necessidade de um maior aprofundamento do mesmo.

Amphibians inhabit different environments throughout their lives, resulting in greater exposure to parasitic communities, which makes them interesting for helminthological studies, although little is known about the parasites associated with them. This study aimed to carry out a helminthological survey of frogs of the Hylidae family along the banks of the Paraopeba River, Brumadinho, MG after the tailings dam at the Córrego of Feijão mine collapsed. A total of 136 frogs of the Hylidae family were captured. The animals were euthanized, dissected and the organs removed. Helminths were collected from the stomach, intestine, lung, liver, kidney and coelomic cavity. Nematodes were clarified. 35 of 136 anurans analyzed, were parasitized by helminths of the phylum Nematoda. The present study exposed the first record of the genera Cosmocercidae and Oswaldocruzia parasitizing Boana lundii; Physaloptera parasitizing Boana faber; Ochoterenella parasitizing Scinax fuscovarius. In addition to being the first to present the species Ololygon luizotavioi, Bokermannohyla circumdata and Boana crepitans parasitized by helminths, showing the importance of the helminthological study of Brazilian anurans and the need for further study.
