Os jogos e improvisação no teatro: uma sensibiliação crítica sobre a violência entre estudantes

Abstract

O trabalho em questão tem como objetivo compreender se a prática dos jogos teatrais e de improviso, dentro do ambiente escolar, podem colaborar para o despertar da consciência e sensibilizar criticamente quanto às questões de naturalização da violência entre os estudantes e nas proposições de cenas trazidas nas aulas. Ao começar a dar aulas de teatro, tanto para crianças do Fundamental I quanto para adolescentes do Fundamental II na Escola Municipal Professor Ernesto de Moraes Leme, percebi que há certa recorrência no uso da violência nas improvisações, como única forma de tentar resolver diferentes situações de conflitos apresentadas. São quadros com brigas domésticas, histórias de traição, problemas familiares, assaltos entre outras circunstâncias cotidianas, nas quais a violência aparece, principalmente, através de reprodução de assassinato por arma de fogo, ocorrência de linchamento público e ofensas verbais. Durante a atividade teatral, busco não interromper, sem a intenção de censurar ou impedir que a representação da violência seja exposta, afinal, o teatro é um espaço para tratar de situações reais, liberar as emoções e representar diferentes contextos sociais. O que questiono, é a ausência de um caráter mais crítico quanto a estas manifestações. Assim, visando estimular a reflexão quanto às escolhas das cenas, tomei como base os jogos teatrais e de improvisação da artista norte-americana Viola Spolin, com a finalidade de desenvolver maior possibilidade de conexão e diálogo entre eles e de compreender se as práticas artístico pedagógicas, difundidas através de sua obra, poderiam auxiliar os estudantes no processo de ampliação da capacidade de imaginação e de uma consciência mais crítica quanto ao uso da violência.

The work in question aims to understand whether the practice of theatrical and improvisational games, within the school environment, can contribute to rasing consciousness and critical awareness regarding the issues of naturalizing violence among students and in the propositions of scenes that they present during classes. When I started teaching theater classes, both for early Elementary school children and for Elementary school teenagers at Escola Municipal Professor Ernesto de Moraes Leme, I realized that there is a certain recurrence in the use of violence in improvisations, as the only way of trying to solve different situations of conflicts presented by them in the scenes. There are scenes with domestic conflicts, stories of betrayal, family problems and robberies, among other everyday circumstances in which violence appears, mainly, through the reproduction of murderer by gunshot, the occurrence of lynch mobs and verbal insults. During the activity, I try not to censor, after all, theater is a space to release different emotions and portray different social contexts. However, I was intrigued by not noticing a critical approach in the manifestations of violence, but rather a certain mocking tone. Furthermore, what also caught my attention was the aggressive way in which some of them treat each other. Without moralistic pretensions, but with an interest in stimulating reflection regarding the choices in question, I took as a basis the theatrical and improvisation games of the North American artist Viola Spolin, with the aim of developing more connection and dialogue between them and understanding whether the artistic pedagogical practices, disseminated through her work, could help students in the process of expanding their ability for imagination and critical view regarding the use of violence. During the process, it was possible to notice their transformation in terms of their desire to participate in the games, to discover new possibilities for improvisation, showing a greater capacity for listening and respect for each other, as well as being available for discussions, including reflecting on violence as a problem.
