Análise dos gols em campeonatos continentais de futebol

Abstract

Diversos estudos buscaram analisar a realização dos gols nos mais variados campeonatos de futebol. No entanto, até o presente momento, nenhum desses estudos buscou comparar de forma aprofundada a ocorrência dos gols em todos os campeonatos continentais num mesmo trabalho. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo é analisar os gols realizados nas últimas edições de todos os campeonatos continentais de futebol, entre eles UEFA Euro (Europa), AFC Copa Asiática (Ásia), CAF Copa das Nações Africanas (África), CONCACAF Copa Ouro (América do Norte, Central e Caribe) e CONMEBOL Copa América (América do Sul). Analisamos as 213 partidas e 526 gols realizados nelas por meio dos vídeos disponíveis no site Footballia.net. As variáveis analisadas relacionadas aos gols incluem os placares, período da partida, tempo de jogo, situação de jogo, forma de obtenção da bola pelo finalizador, forma de finalização, zona de finalização, quantidade de toques na bola dado pelo finalizador, posição do finalizador e condição em que o finalizador iniciou a partida. Os resultados mostraram características bastante semelhantes entre os cinco campeonatos continentais. Destacamos que a Euro e a Copa Ouro tiveram maior média de gols por partida e que as equipes foram menos dependentes da bola parada. Os quinze minutos iniciais e finais do segundo tempo merecem uma atenção estratégica especial por parte da comissão técnica e do grupo de jogadores, pois são períodos com maior incidência de gols. As informações fornecidas nesse estudo auxiliam profissionais de comissão técnica a elaborar programas de treino e estratégias de jogo mais coerentes com as demandas dos seus campeonatos.

Several studies sought to analyze the achievement of goals in the most varied football championships. However, until the present moment, none of these studies sought to compare in depth the occurrence of goals in all continental championships in the same work. Thus, the objective of this study is to analyze the goals scored in the last editions of all continental football championships, including UEFA Euro (Europe), AFC Asian Cup (Asia), CAF African Nations Cup (Africa), CONCACAF Gold Cup (North America, Central and Caribbean) and CONMEBOL Copa América (South America). We analyzed the 213 matches and 526 goals scored in them through the videos available on the Footballia.net website. The analyzed variables related to goals include the scores, period of the match, game situation, way of obtaining the ball by the finisher, way of finishing, finishing zone, number of touches on the ball given by the finisher, position of the finisher and condition in which the finisher started the match. The results showed very similar characteristics among the five continental championships. We emphasize that the Euro and the Gold Cup had the highest average of goals per match and that the teams were less dependent on the dead ball. The first and final fifteen minutes of the second half deserve special strategic attention from the coaching staff and the group of players, as they are periods with the highest incidence of goals. The information provided in this study helps technical commission professionals to develop training programs and game strategies that are more coherent with the demands of their championships.
