Resumo
Students with high abilities / giftedness (AH/SD) have above average ability, high levels of engagement with tasks and creativities. Although this phenomenon can manifest itself in the male or female gender, the research shows that the number of men identified as AH / SD is higher. Therefore, we aimed to review and analyze the academic productions indexed in databases, which focus on gender in the context of AH/SD. Researches revealed that there are few national productions to investigate female individuals within the AH/SD, which shows a difficulty in identifying AH/SD girls. Pointed urgency for more research to assist in the elucidation of the reasons why this situation occurs and to break the sexist paradigms historicaly brought and social so that these girls are no longer neglected.
