THE FISHING AND ARTISANAL FISHERMEN IN COLOMBIA

Abstract

This article includes part of the analyzes and reflections obtained through our exchange held in Colombia in the year 2015. The purpose of the exchange was to analyze the forms of socio-political organization of fishermen to maintain and resist in their territories, maintaining their forms of organization of labor and traditional life. Therefore, it was necessary to analyze how the fishing activity in Colombia developed. In this sense, this article presents part of our analyzes and conclusions about the fishing activity and about the labor and territories of the Colombian artisanal fishermen, especially the Caribbean, whom we have obtained contact during our field work.
