Potencialidades dos contos de Edgar Allan Poe na formação estética do leitor literário crítico da realidade

Abstract

Esta pesquisa teve como tema a formação do leitor literário materializada por meio de um instrumento semiótico de perguntas e respostas para interpretação de leitura dos contos de Edgar Allan Poe, realizada na modalidade oral, e investigou como os elementos dos contos são percebidos e como gestam a crítica da realidade. O estudo foi realizado em uma escola pública do município de Bauru, interior do estado de São Paulo, com oito alunos de ensino fundamental em contraturno. O objetivo geral foi investigar como a leitura de contos clássicos de literatura universal, constituídos pelo caráter estético e refletor da realidade, organizados sistemática e intencionalmente, medeiam o percurso de formação de alunos do ensino fundamental como leitores literários críticos. Para isso, a pesquisa apoia-se nos fundamentos psicológicos da Psicologia Histórico-Cultural, quanto ao papel da educação estética na formação do indivíduo (Vigotski, 2001); na forma de compreender os enunciados, principalmente o deciframento do sentido profundo do texto (Luria, 2001); na Pedagogia Histórico-Crítica, desenvolvida por Saviani (2008); na concepção de clássico defendida por Saviani (2008), Duarte (2021), Calvino (2007) e Castagnino (1969); na proposta do método recepcional de leitura (Bordini & Aguiar, 1993), para planejar a progressão da complexificação dos contos de terror de Poe. O ensino foi organizado por meio da elaboração de uma unidade didática fundamentada no uso do instrumento semiótico pergunta e resposta para a interpretação de leitura e organizada nas etapas do método recepcional de leitura, na qual foram realizadas atividades que impulsionaramos estudantes a expressarem suas reflexões quanto aos contos lidos. Ao final das oficinas, notou se que foram gestados novos comportamentos leitores, que a argumentação do grupo melhorou e que houve apreensão do texto e subtexto dos contos de Poe, assim como, a elaboração inicial de críticas a realidade, por parte dos estudantes. Os resultados indicam que os contos de Poe são fecundos e adequados para o trabalho com a formação de leitores no ensino fundamental –anos iniciais.

This research had as its theme the formation of the literary reader materialized through a semiotic instrument of questions and answers for the interpretation of readings of Edgar Allan Poe's tales, carried out orally, and it investigated how the elements of the tales are perceived and how they generate criticism of reality. The study was accomplished in a public school in the city of Bauru, in the countryside of São Paulo state, with eight elementary school students in after-school classes. The general objective was to investigate how the reading of classic tales of universal literature, constituted by the aesthetic and reflective character of reality, organized systematically and intentionally, mediates the path of formation of elementary school students as critical literary readers. To this end, the research is based on the psychological foundations of Historical-Cultural Psychology, regarding the role of aesthetic education in the formation of the individual (Vygotsky, 2001); the way of understanding the verbal statements, mainly the deciphering of the deep meaning of the text (Luria, 2001); in the Historical-Critical Pedagogy, developed by Saviani (2008); in the conception of classic defended by Saviani (2008), Duarte (2021), Calvino (2007) and Castagnino (1969); in the proposal of the receptive reading method (Bordini & Aguiar, 1993), to plan the progression of the complexification of Poe's horror tales. The teaching was organized through the elaboration of a didactic unit based on the use of the semiotic instrument question and answer for the interpretation of reading and organized in the stages of the receptive reading method, in which activities were carried out to encourage the students to express their reflections about the tales read. At the end of the reading workshops, it was noted that new reading behaviors were generated, that the group's argumentation improved and that there was apprehension of the text and subtext of Poe's tales, as well as the initial elaboration of criticisms of reality, by the students. The results indicate that Poe's short stories are fruitful and suitable for working with the development of readers in elementary school – initial years.
