A participação negra na construção do teatro brasileiro: entre estar em cena, sair, e retomar os palcos a partir da criação de uma concepção teatral negra

Abstract

A proposta desta pesquisa é aprofundar o estudo sobre a participação das pessoas negras na construção do teatro brasileiro. Durante a minha graduação em arte teatro, assim como na graduação de outros colegas que estudam teatro ao nível superior, e até mesmo em outras instituições de ensino, quando estudamos teatro, raramente é considerada a participação negra de forma substancial e ampla. Através de textos que refletem a presença e ausência preta nos palcos, a busca por uma concepção teatral negra a partir do olhar negro sobre si mesmo, e a criação de um teatro voltado as pessoas negras, quero desmistificar a crença, que exclui e apaga a participação negra no teatro nacional, instigando reflexões em torno dessa participação durante o século XVIII, XIX, XX, e até antes disso. Essa pesquisa tem como destino questionar o discurso teatral acadêmico racista, que aponta poucas referências, e pouca participação negra no nosso teatro, busco dissolver aqui o que fortalece esse discurso, que é ricamente validado a partir de um cinismo racista que constrói nossa sociedade brasileira como conhecemos, devendo muito as pessoas negras, porém, apagando, desconsiderando e desviando o foco dos verdadeiros construtores desta nação.

The purpose of this research is to deepen the study on the participation of black people in the construction of Brazilian theater. During my graduation in art theater, as well as the graduation of other colleagues who study theater at the academy, and even in other educational institutions, when we study theater, black participation is rarely considered at a substantial and broadly level. Through texts that reflect black presence and absence on stage, the search for a black theatrical conception based on the black look at itself , and the creation of a theater aimed at black people, I want to demystify the belief, which excludes and erases the black participation in the national theater, instigating reflections around this participation during the 18th, 19th, 20th centuries, and even before that. This research aims to question the racist academic theatrical discourse, which points out few references, and the lack of black participation in our theater, I seek to dissolve here what strengthens this discourse, which is richly validated from a racist cynicism that builds Brazilian society as we know, owing a lot to black people, however, erasing, disregarding and diverting the focus from the true builders of this nation.
