Abstract

The Universal Granitic Batholith occurs at the northwest part of Apiacás city, north-northwest region of Mato Grosso state and constitutes the main non-deformed post-orogenic granite body of Teles Pires Suite, Juruena Domain, Rondônia-Juruena Province. The batholith has a semicircular shape and is intrusive in deformed granitoid rocks from the Colíder suites, Intrusive Juruena, Paranaíta and Apiacás Granite. It consists mainly of plutonic rocks dominated by syeno-to monzogranites, porphyritic, rapakivi or not, isotropic to locally foliated, pink to red color and presenting, as mafic mineral, biotite and hornblende. The rocks2, K2O and Na2O, peraluminous to metaluminous, and define a high potassium to shoshonitic magmatism, present high levels of SiO calcium-alkaline series. These are A Type granitoids, highly differentiated and arc tectonic in an intraplate environment. The ETR behavior evidences two similar and symmetrical patterns of distribution, with negative Eu anomaly and ETR enrichment for the most differentiated facies, suggesting a magmatic fractionation process. This rapakivi magmatism registers the final stage of a late-orogenic to anorogenic extensional environment, composing the late architecture of Juruena Magmatic Arc and stabilizing these cratonic continental areas.
