Abstract

This text is the result of an investigation carried out in the post-doctoral internship developed from 07/2017 to 05/2021 at Escola Superior de Educacao - Instituto Politecnico de Coimbra - ESEC/IPC- Portugal. Its objectives were to examine gender perspectives in the training of teachers at UNIFIMES and in ESEC Courses; verify if the training process of teacher training courses includes the perspective of gender identity in the preparation of teachers in the initial years; to analyze the curricular matrices of the teacher training courses of the institutions involved, in order to perceive pedagogical traces that can contribute to the formation of the professional identity of the male teacher in the early years and present the main impressions about the male presence in the early years, from the dialogic relationships observed in teacher training courses at UNIFIMES and ESEC.
