A proporção divina: estudando a beleza do Número de Ouro na Matemática

Abstract

O Número de Ouro, também conhecido, por exemplo como, Número Áureo, Razão Áurea, Seção Áurea, Proporção Áurea e Média e Extrema Razão é o número irracional 1,6180339887... Este número que fascinou muitos matemáticos ao longo da história da humanidade como Pitágoras, Platão, Euclides, Fibonacci e o matemático italiano Luca Pacioli ainda hoje, desperta a curiosidade de muitos estudantes de matemática. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é estudar o número de ouro destacando seu contexto histórico; as propriedades geométricas da divina proporção (como o triângulo e o retângulo áureo, o pentágono regular e a sequência de Fibonacci) e a descrição de exemplos encontrados na literatura, da presença da Razão Áurea na natureza, arte e arquitetura. A metodologia escolhida foi a revisão bibliográfica de materiais relacionados ao tema e, uma pergunta norteadora foi, como este tema pode contribuir no ensino da matemática para os alunos da Educação Básica. Assim, finalizamos esse trabalho apresentando um conjunto de atividades didáticas que podem ser usadas por professores da Educação Básica para trabalhar, juntamente com o software GeoGebra, o Número de Ouro na sala de aula.

The Golden Number, also known, for example as, Golden Number, Golden Ratio, Golden Section, Golden Ratio and Average and Extreme Ratio is the irrational number 1.6180339887 ... This number that has fascinated many mathematicians throughout human history like Pythagoras, Plato, Euclid, Fibonacci and the Italian mathematician Luca Pacioli even today, arouses the curiosity of many mathematics students. Thus, the objective of this work is to study the gold number highlighting its historical context; the geometric properties of the divine proportion (such as the golden triangle and rectangle, the regular pentagon and the Fibonacci sequence) and the description of examples found in the literature, of the presence of the Golden Reason in nature, art and architecture. The chosen methodology was the bibliographic review of materials related to the theme and, a guiding question was, how this theme can contribute in the teaching of mathematics to students of Basic Education. Thus, we finished this work presenting a set of didactic activities that can be used by teachers of Basic Education to work, together with GeoGebra software, the Golden Number in the classroom.
