dc.description.abstract | To go with a society increasingly immersed in a virtual world, libraries face the need to innovate by seeking projects that attract the community to their spaces. The aim of this paper is to present a possible dialogue between the concepts of mediation and innovation, based on the practical example of working with the Booktube community. For this purpose, an exploratory descriptive study of bibliographic and documentary nature is carried out. As results, the practical experience of libraries shows that the use of informal language by the Booktube community and the interactivity of the YouTube platform contributes to actions to encourage reading; It has been found that user development as a reader is influenced by the type of Booktuber activity developed and the way its mediation is conducted; as well as the possibility of expanding the borders by connecting people from different localities who share the same literary interest. All these elements can direct action strategies in a library that seeks innovative action in the face of current media. It is concluded that the purpose of this community in libraries can and should go beyond the dissemination of reviews and promotion of new titles, serving as a basis for the construction of mediation strategies that contribute in a practical way to libraries of different segments. | en |
