Resumo
This chapter aims to analyze data resulting from studies at the Master's level and scientific initiation that have been developed regarding the circulation of literary texts in the context of virtual exchange of the Teletandem Project (Telles, Teletandem: um contexto virtual, autônomo e colaborativo para aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras no século XXI. Pontes, Campinas, 2009). More specifically, we intend to observe how reading and sharing these texts can contribute to enhance interactions and improve the process of teaching and learning Spanish language, as well as the training of Spanish teachers. As theoretical references, we support the basic principles of Teletandem and the mediation process in this context (Carvalho and Ramos, Revista Estudos Linguísticos 48(2):747-776, 2019); a cross-cultural perspective (Welsch, Transculturality - the puzzling form of cultures today. In: Fatherstone M, Lash S (eds) Spaces of culture: city, nation, world. Sage, London, 1999) and the humanizing function of literature (Candido, Ciência e Cultura 24(9):803-809, 1972) are also assumed, understood as a universal manifestation that transcends the boundaries of time and space. For its development, we used the qualitative methodology of interpretive character (Lüdke and André, Pesquisa em educação: abordagens qualitativas, 2. E.P.U., São Paulo, 2013), focusing on the process of mediation of interactions. The data collected as well as their analysis come from questionnaires, recordings of interactions, and follow-up throughout the mediation process conducted among students of a Brazilian university in partnership with a Mexican university during the second semester of 2021.
