Abstract

Music is of all the arts, the most subjective, as it particularizes emotions, enables the expression of human beings and contributes to humanization. The role of the school is to provide for the acquisition of different types of aesthetic language, including music.The objective of the study is to present teaching situations at school considering music as a sound source, in the appreciation of the diversity of musical genres, in the contextualization of music as a cultural and historical product. To this end, the process of humanization is explained, anchored in superior psychological functions and in the social situation of development. In favor of the question, a didactic sequence applied by a teacher of Early Childhood Education, with the song Autumn-Alegro by Antonio Vivaldi, adopting for the validation of the theoretical foundations, a text written by a mother, directed to the teacher, explaining elements of the humanization advocated by Historical-Cultural Psychology. Results show that the process of humanization of man is a possibility, as there are forms of teaching that elevate to this level, including the contents of music education as a language in practices of contextualization and meaning. Music education sensitizes, changing the material reality of the child through a teaching action that recreates and transforms the subject himself.
