Girls in the house: práticas semióticas e machinima no fazer narrativo

Abstract

O presente estudo compreende um texto sincrético e híbrido de uma narrativa audiovisual seriada criada em plataforma de jogo digital, intitulada Girls in the House. Buscamos observar a construção de sentido desse córpus, desde a criação da narrativa pelo processo da machinima até a sua circulação inscrita em um objeto-suporte digital. Nosso trabalho investiga que efeitos de sentido o processo de interação produz e que estratégias discursivas configuram-se no percurso gerativo da expressão, proposto por Fontanille (2008, 2014), por meio dos níveis de pertinência semiótico. Para abordarmos essa questão teórica, partimos da conceituação da teoria, com foco nas práticas semióticas. Entendemos que a machinima é uma prática para construção textual e investigamos se a forma afeta o sentido do seu conteúdo e em quais aspectos isso acontece. Foi relevante retratar como se constituem os jogos digitais e as plataformas que constroem novos textos. Realizamos, também, um estudo sobre prática no curso da ação com a machinima como um processo de criação narrativa. Por fim, analisamos a prática textualizada por meio dos episódios da webserie e, por meio das recorrências, compreendemos gênero, intertextualidade e formas de vida. Atestamos machinima como uma prática semiótica e produtora de conteúdo audiovisual.

The present study comprises a syncretic and hybrid text of a serialized audiovisual narrative created in a digital game platform, entitled Girls in the House. We seek to observe the construction of meaning of this corpus, from the creation of the narrative by the machinima process to its circulation inscribed in a digital support object. Our work investigates what effects of meaning the interaction process produces and what discursive strategies are configured in the generative path of expression, proposed by Fontanille (2008, 2014), through the levels of semiotic pertinence. To address this theoretical issue, we start from the conceptualization of the theory, with a focus on semiotic practices. We understand that machinima is a practice for textual construction and investigate whether the form affects the meaning of its content and in which aspects this happens. It was relevant to portray how digital games and the platforms that construct new texts are constituted. We also conducted a study on practice in the course of action with machinima as a process of narrative creation. Finally, we analyzed the textualized practice through the episodes of the webseries and through the recurrences, we understood genre, intertextuality, and ways of life. We attest to machinima as a semiotic practice and producer of audiovisual content.
