Abstract (portuguese)
A presente pesquisa trata-se de um estudo bibliográfico e documental, utilizando
métodos qualitativos para análises dos dados apresentados, visando compreender a
importância dos Conselhos de Assistência Social na efetivação da Política de
Assistência Social enquanto Política Pública de Direitos. Para alcançar este objetivo,
realizou-se um estudo sobre a trajetória da Assistência Social antes e após a
promulgação da Constituição Federal de 1988 e buscou entender as finalidades
desses Conselhos em tal Política Pública. A supracitada pesquisa não teve intenção
de esgotar o tema, mas de colaborar com esta temática importante para os
profissionais da Política de Assistência Social, principalmente, do Serviço Social,
inseridos nestes espaços participativos institucionais.
Abstract (english)
The present research is a bibliographical and documental study, using qualitative
methods for analysis of the data presented, aiming to understand the importance of
the Social Assistance Councils in the effectiveness of the Social Assistance Policy as
a Public Policy of Rights. To achieve this objective, a study was carried out on the
trajectory of Social Assistance before and after the enactment of the Federal
Constitution of 1988 and sought to understand the purposes of these Councils in
such Public Policy. The aforementioned research did not intend to exhaust the
theme, but to collaborate with this important theme for professionals in the Social
Assistance Policy, mainly in Social Work, inserted in these institutional participatory
spaces.
