Sociabilidade juvenil e saberes geográficos: o ensino de geografia urbana no ensino médio

Abstract

A geografia escolar tem o objetivo de promover uma aprendizagem significativa que permita aos estudantes reconhecerem o mundo em que vivem e as dinâmicas que o compõem. Para isso, é importante considerar o contexto em que a escola está inserida, a fim de articular o trabalho curricular com as demandas impostas pelos professores, estudantes e toda a comunidade escolar. Nesse sentido, o conhecimento sobre as práticas juvenis no espaço urbano e os saberes produzidos fora do ambiente escolar são elementos fundamentais para promoção de um ensino conectado com a realidade estudantil. Logo, a pesquisa teve como o objetivo compreender como os saberes geográficos produzidos pelos jovens sobre a cidade podem ser incorporados no Ensino de Geografia urbana no Ensino Médio, evidenciando a potência que existe nos encontros e nas tramas de sociabilidade vivenciada pelos jovens. A pesquisa foi realizada na Escola Estadual Professor Arlindo Fantini, em Presidente Prudente, Sp. E a partir de levantamento bibliográfico, observação participante e outros métodos qualitativos, o texto demonstrará tanto como a escola, quanto os professores e o ensino de geografia, enquanto um componente curricular, também formam, constroem e disputam as juventudes.

School geography aims to promote meaningful learning that allows students to recognize the world in which they live and the dynamics that compose it. For this, it is important to consider the context in which the school is inserted, in order to articulate the curricular work with the demands imposed by teachers, students and the entire school community. In this sense, the knowledge about youth practices in the urban space and the knowledge produced outside the school environment are what they are all about fundamental elements for the promotion of a teaching connected with the student reality. Therefore, the research aimed to understand how the geographical knowledge produced by young people about the city can be incorporated into the teaching of urban geography in high school, evidencing the power that exists in the encounters and in the plots of sociability experienced by young people. The research was carried out at the Professor Arlindo Fantini State School, in Presidente Prudente, SP. And based on a bibliographic survey, participant observation and other qualitative methods, the text will demonstrate how the school, teachers and the teaching of geography, as a curricular component, also form, build and dispute youth.
