Abstract
This work is a study of education plans for prisons in Maranhao (MA), Para (PA) an organized in prisons in these states according to the guidelines present in these d Sao Paulo (SP). The objective was to understand how education is documents. To achieve this objective, we opted for a qualitative, documentary approach, followed by Bardin's content analysis (1977). The research revealed that the plans present goals linked to the expansion of places for literacy and the implementation of Distance Learning. To achieve these goals, partnerships are proposed with other educational institutions that offer literacy programs that can also be developed in prisons. To conclude, we understand that the school in these prisons is organized and committed to meeting the goals set out in the education plans, thus increasing the number of places through the implementation of EAD and literacy programs for adults deprived of liberty.
