Qualidade de Vida: uma fórmula?

Abstract

This work takes into account several materials that contain orientation on how people can live a healthier lifestyle. A preliminary reflection were made with the objective of pointing out how these materials emphasize a rather prominent attribute of modern societies, specially the Western ones: the need to take care of the social body. Moreover, this reflection allowed identifying some syntagms whose functioning seems to be typically formulaic (Krieg-Planque, 2010, 2011), what could be a strong evidence that being healthy and having a long lifetime, at least in the contemporary Western world, is related to a highly complex discursive function.

O presente trabalho aborda materiais diversos com orientações sobre como as pessoas podem ter um estilo de vida mais saudável. Uma reflexão preliminar sobre esses materiais permite apontar como colocam em evidência uma característica bastante proeminente das sociedades modernas, especialmente as ocidentais: a necessidade de cuidar do corpo social. Permite, igualmente, identificar alguns sintagmas cujo funcionamento parece ser tipicamente formulaico (Krieg-Planque, 2010, 2011), o que seria um forte indício de que ser saudável e ter uma longa vida, no mundo ocidental contemporâneo, está relacionado com um funcionamento discursivo bastante complexo.
