From the comparative studies, we highlight intertextuality as a theme. It is established when there are relationships between two or more texts, the newest being generally an imitation, adaptation, parody, etc. from the oldest. In addition, the intertextuality figures as possessing a critical eye. Our corpus is composed of the short story Singularidades de uma rapariga loura, by Eca de Queiros, and Campo de Sangue, a contemporary novel by the Portuguese writer Duke Maria Cardoso. We aim to understand the relationships that can be established between these texts, especially with regard to the plot and characters. The theoretical basis contains Literatura comparada, by Tonia Carvalhal and A estrategia do forma, by Laurent Jenny.en
