Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender como a interdisciplinaridade é conceituada em artigos científicos da área de Educação Ambiental. Essa área é multifacetada, possuindo diversas vertentes dentro do mesmo campo. Uma dessas vertentes é a Educação Ambiental Crítica, assumida como referencial teórico-metodológico neste trabalho, fundamentada no Materialismo Histórico-Dialético. Para consecução do objetivo, foi realizada uma revisão sistemática para coleta de dados, por meio da plataforma Portal de Periódicos CAPES, de 2017 a 2023, considerando o período de implementação de novas diretrizes educacionais, como a Base Nacional Comum Curricular. A revisão resultou em 130 artigos que, posteriormente, foram filtrados, ocasionando em 33 artigos para análise. Estas produções foram organizadas em quatro categorias: interdisciplinaridade como junção de disciplinas; interdisciplinaridade como junção de disciplinas e menção do significado; explicações sobre os significados da interdisciplinaridade; explicações sobre interdisciplinaridade na Educação Ambiental Crítica-Marxista. A análise revelou que alguns artigos abordam a interdisciplinaridade como sendo apenas a junção de disciplinas, já outros abarcam diferentes significados para o termo ou, pelo menos, apresentam explicações mais aprofundadas sobre ele. Além disso, apenas três artigos entendem a necessidade de conceituar a interdisciplinaridade como caminho necessário para acabar com as barreiras disciplinares e, sobretudo, fortalecer uma Educação Ambiental Crítica de fundamentação marxista. Contudo, conclui-se que há a necessidade de avançar na discussão sobre o papel e a coerência da interdisciplinaridade na Educação Ambiental Crítica-Marxista, sobretudo, recuperando categorias fundamentais do Materialismo Histórico-Dialético e contribuir para a área diante das novas diretrizes educacionais.

This research aims to understand how interdisciplinarity is defined in scientific articles in the area of Environmental Education. This area is multifaceted, with different strands within the same area. One of these strands is Critical Environmental Education, assumed as the theoretical-methodological reference in this work, based on Historical-Dialectical Materialism. In order to achieve the objective, a systematic review was carried out to collect data through the CAPES Periodicals Portal platform, from 2017 to 2023, considering the period of implementation of new educational guidelines, such as the Common National Curriculum Base. The review resulted in 130 articles which were then filtered, resulting in 33 articles for analysis. These productions were organized into four categories: interdisciplinarity as a junction of disciplines; interdisciplinarity as a junction of disciplines and mention of the meaning; explanations of the meanings of interdisciplinarity; explanations of interdisciplinarity in Critical-Marxist Environmental Education. The analysis revealed that some articles approach interdisciplinarity as merely the joining together of disciplines, while others encompass different meanings of the term or at least provide more in-depth explanations of it. In addition, only three articles understand the need to conceptualize interdisciplinarity as a necessary way of breaking down disciplinary barriers and, above all, strengthening Critical Environmental Education with a Marxist foundation. However, we conclude that there is a need to move forward in the discussion on the role and coherence of interdisciplinarity in Critical-Marxist Environmental Education, especially by recovering fundamental categories of Historical-Dialectical Materialism and contributing to the area in the light of the new educational guidelines.
