Revisar a literatura apresentando e comparando duas das técnicas
empregadas na realização do processo reabilitador na região de maxila anterior,
técnica de colocação tardia e colocação imediata do implante. Pontuando as
principais indicações e contraindicações das técnicas citadas, onde uma das
diferenças consiste no tempo de espera para implantação do implante. Sendo a
técnica de carga tardia, àquela que se espera mais tempo para a instalação do
implante, em contrapartida a técnica de carga imediata é realizada no mesmo dia
após a exodontia. Ao final desse trabalho, poderemos estabelecer qual a técnica
mais indicada. Material e Métodos: Foi realizada uma busca eletrônica nos bancos
de dados PubMed, Wiley Online Library e Biblioteca virtual em saúde (BVS), os
parâmetros de pesquisa usados foram: "[single implant] AND [anterior
region]","[immediate implantation] AND [delayed implantation]” e “[indication of dental
implants in the anterior region] AND [contraindication of dental implants in the
anterior region]”. Os resultados foram restritos às publicações realizadas entre
Janeiro de 2018 a Março de 2023. A seleção dos artigos foi realizada a partir da
leitura dos títulos e resumos. Com base na leitura dos textos na íntegra, foram
selecionados os estudos com maior relevância a revisão proposta. Resultados: Os
estudos demonstraram que a implantação imediata oferece a vantagem de reduzir o
tempo de tratamento e preservar as estruturas moles e duras. Já a implantação
tardia permite que o osso se regenere e se adapte às novas condições, o que pode
levar a uma maior estabilidade e sucesso do implante. Porém, vários fatores devem
ser considerados, como a condição da estrutura óssea remanescente, o tipo de
dente que está sendo substituído e a preferência do paciente. Conclusão: Tanto o
implante imediato quanto o implante tardio têm suas vantagens e desvantagens, e a
escolha entre eles dependerá de vários fatores específicos de cada paciente. O
importante é estar qualificado para realizar qualquer uma das técnicas e obter o
melhor resultado possível.

To review the literature presenting and comparing two of the techniques,
employed in carrying out the rehabilitation process in the anterior maxilla region, late
placement technique and immediate implant placement. Punctuating the main
indications and contraindications of the aforementioned techniques, where one of the
differences is the waiting time for implant installation. Being the late loading
technique, the one that waits longer for implant installation, on the other hand, the
immediate loading technique is performed on the same day after extraction. Material
and Methods: An electronic search was performed in the PubMed, Wiley Online
Library and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, the search parameters used
were: "[single implant] AND [anterior region]","[immediate implantation] AND [delayed
implantation]” and “[indication of dental implants in the anterior region] AND
[contraindication of dental implants in the anterior region].” The results were
restricted to publications published between January 2018 and March 2023. The
selection of the articles was carried out from the reading of the titles and abstracts.
Based on the reading of the texts in full, the studies with greater relevance to the
proposed review were selected. Results: The studies demonstrated that the
immediate implantation offers the advantage of reducing the time of treatment and
preserve the soft and hard structures. Delayed implantation allows the bone to
regenerate and adapt to new conditions, which can lead to greater stability and
success of the implant. However, several factors must be considered, such as the
condition of the remaining bone structure, the type of tooth being replaced and the
patient's preference. Conclusion: Both immediate implantation and delayed
implantation have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice between
them will depend on several factors specific to each patient. The important thing is to
be qualified to perform any of the techniques and to obtain the best possible result.
