Entre beats, remixes e vozes: identidade e interdiscursividade na música de periferia

Abstract

Neste trabalho procuramos apresentar uma reflexão analítica de uma arte que utiliza a retomada de enunciados como base fundamental de seu discurso, nos pautando no pensamento filosófico de uma teoria que se constitui por meio do diálogo linguístico. Tendo como objeto de pesquisa um recorte da música eletrônica brasileira de periferia e como teoria linguística a análise do discurso bakhtiniana, nossa hipótese é de que o universo sociocultural periférico apresenta um contexto que propicia e faz circular formas similares de discurso estético. Esses enunciados concretos, por sua vez, são representativos e refletem/refratam a periferia e os sujeitos que nela vivem em vozes sociais participantes desse discurso. Nossos objetivos gerais consistiram em demonstrar, por meio da análise dos enunciados musicais, como os recursos estilísticos e composicionais dos gêneros Rap, Funk e Tecnobrega, materializam a ideologia da periferia e produzem interação entre sujeitos periféricos, através de efeitos de sentidos que (re)afirmam identidades por meio de vozes sociais na linguagem. Nossos objetivos específicos foram observar: i) a cultura do remix como uma ferramenta de dialogicidade e incorporação ideológica do discurso alheio; ii) a periferia como um espaço que orienta socialmente esses discursos; iii) como no ato de representação de identidades e disputa interna de forças centrípetas e centrífugas a polêmica social aparece carnavalizada nas canções. Nosso corpus é composto por seis canções principais e mais três que servem de suporte para o discurso citado por meio da remixagem em algumas análises. As canções analisadas são duas de cada gênero musical e de autoria dos seguintes artistas: GOG e Rico Dalasam (Rap); MC Carol e MC Xuxú (Funk); Los Bregas e Gaby Amarantos (Tecnobrega). Buscamos contribuir com a análise discursiva da canção de periferia, levando em consideração a sua composição artística em recursos eletrônicos que possibilitam um “jogo” com o diálogo como recurso estético-musical, vista de uma perspectiva linguística e discursiva. Desse modo, tentamos contribuir também para o alargamento da utilização dos estudos bakhtinianos para outras linguagens, que não apenas a literária, verbal ou verbo-visual, mas também a utilização da filosofia da linguagem na música pop periférica neste momento histórico e social pós-moderno, permeado de convergências tecnológicas e hibridismo cultural. Os resultados que obtivemos alcançaram os objetivos de nossa pesquisa e confirmaram a nossa hipótese de que a periferia produz sua própria arte, num fazer multiculturalista e criativo que conversa com interlocutores específicos, embora diversos, e faz isso por meio de discursos que priorizam o plurilinguismo ou citação do discurso alheio através do remix; orienta socialmente esses enunciados em tom familiar para sujeitos que fazem parte da comunidade onde esses gêneros são expressão cultural, ao mesmo tempo que se dirige a interlocutores de outras camadas sociais de modo conflituoso e polêmico; e na expressão material desses enunciados representa ideologicamente identidades que seguem em exclusão social por meio da inversão de valores carnavalizando discursos oficiais.

This work aims to demonstrate an analytical reflection on a type of art that uses the resumption of utterances as fundamental basis of its discourse, basing this analysis on the philosophical thought of a theory that is constituted through linguistic dialogue. The research object is the Brazilian electronic music from the periphery and the linguistic theory used as methodological approach is the Bakhtinian Discourse Analysis. The hypothesis was if the peripheral sociocultural universe presented context that propitiates and circulates similar forms of aesthetic discourse. The concrete utterances analysed, in their turn, are representative and reflect/refract the periphery and the subjects who live there in social voices participating in this discourse. The general objectives were to demonstrate through the analysis of musical utterances, how the stylistic and compositional resources of the genres Rap, Brazilian Funk and Tecnobrega, materialize the ideology of the periphery and produce interaction between peripheral subjects (individuals), through effects of meanings that (re)affirm identities through social voices in language. The specific objectives were to observe: i) the culture of remix as a tool for dialogue and ideological incorporation of the discourse of others; ii) the periphery as a space that guides these discourses socially; iii) how the act of representing identities, and internal dispute of centripetal and centrifugal forces, appears in a social polemic discourse of the songs. Six main songs compose the corpus and three more are support for the “reported speech” made by remixes in the first songs. These main ones are two of each musical genre and authored by the following artists: GOG and Rico Dalasam (Rap); MC Carol and MC Xuxú (Brazilian Funk); Los Bregas and Gaby Amarantos (Tecnobrega). We seek to contribute to the expansion of the Bakhtinian studies used as methodology to analyse other types of language, not only literature or image, but the peripheral pop music as well, in this present historical moment, post-modernist, permeated by technological convergences and cultural hybridism. The results we obtained achieved the objectives of our research and confirmed our hypothesis that the periphery produces its own art, in a multicultural and creative work that speak to specific, but diverse interlocutors, doing it through discourses that prioritize plurilingualism or reported speech through remix. Besides, it socially orientates these utterances in a familiar tone to subjects that are part of the community where these genres are cultural expression, at the same time as it addresses the interlocutors of other social classes in a conflictive and controversial way. In addition, in the material expression of these utterances, identities who are in social exclusion are ideologically represented through the inversion of values by carnivalizing official discourses.
