Resumo
This study aimed to analyze the narratives of Physical Education teachers about the ways in which they taught sport in their classes in the context of the orientation of the Curriculum of the State of Sao Paulo. It was guided by a qualitative, descriptiveinterpretative research, which used unstructured individual interviews for data collection. The participants were 25 Physical Education teachers. The results showed that the teachers were guided by theoretical classes and practical classes and for each of them they used specific activities. The Student's Notebook and the historical treatment of the sport, as well as the use of games, gained prominence as resources for teaching sport. The study outlines how much the implementation of a public educational policy has an impact on teachers' narratives and intersects with traditions in the area and teacher training.
