Esta pesquisa é vinculada ao Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação, na linha de pesquisa 03 - Processos Formativos, Infância e Juventude da Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) - Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia - Campus de Presidente Prudente/SP. É vinculada ao Grupo de Pesquisa Formação de Professores em Educação Infantil – PROFEI e tem por problema de pesquisa: Como a escola pode se configurar, do ponto de vista protetivo, junto a crianças em vulnerabilidade social? O objetivo geral consistiu em analisar, do ponto de vista teórico, como a escola se constitui enquanto fator protetivo junto a crianças em situação de vulnerabilidade social. A partir deste objetivo buscou-se compreender o conceito de vulnerabilidade social e a ideia da escola como fator protetivo, identificando as possíveis dimensões que envolvem este fator na escola. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa de natureza bibliográfica, analisando aspectos conceituais e contextuais de materiais científicos relacionados à temática da pesquisa. Os dados foram levantados e analisados conforme as seguintes categorias: educação e vulnerabilidade social; escola, vulnerabilidade e proteção. Os resultados poderão subsidiar ações junto a crianças expostas à situações de risco, visando seu desenvolvimento cognitivo, social e emocional, com pensamento autônomo para melhor compreensão do mundo e de sua realidade.
Abstract (english)
This research is linked to the Graduate Program in Education, in research line 03 - Formative Processes, Childhood, and Youth of the São Paulo State University (UNESP) - Faculty of Science and Technology - Presidente Prudente/SP Campus. It is affiliated with the Research Group on Teacher Training in Early Childhood Education - PROFEI, and its research problem is: How can the school establish itself, from a protective perspective, in relation to children in situations of social vulnerability? The general objective consisted of theoretically analyzing how the school constitutes itself as a protective factor for children in situations of social vulnerability. From this objective, the aim was to understand the concept of social vulnerability and the idea of the school as a protective factor, identifying the possible dimensions that involve this factor in the school context. The methodology used was a bibliographic research, analyzing conceptual and contextual aspects of scientific materials related to the research topic. Data were collected and analyzed according to the following categories: education and social vulnerability; school, vulnerability, and protection. The results may support actions for children exposed to situations of risk, aiming at their cognitive, social, and emotional development, fostering autonomous thinking for a better understanding of the world and their reality.
