A Creche “Ignácio de Loyola Torres” (1966-1997) e o Berçário Municipal “Mãe Cristina” (1997-2013), na história da educação infantil em Marília/SP

Abstract

Nesta dissertação de mestrado, apresentam-se os resultados finais da pesquisa vinculada ao Grupo de Pesquisa “História da educação e do ensino de língua e literatura no Brasil” (GPHEELLB), coordenado por Maria do Rosario Mortatti. Com o objetivo de contribuir para a produção da história e preservação da memória da educação no município de Marília/SP e subsidiar pesquisas correlatas, focalizam-se, aspectos ainda pouco explorados da história da creche na cidade de Marília/SP, por meio do estudo da história da Creche “Ignácio de Loyola Torres” e do Berçário Municipal “Mãe Cristina”. A Creche foi fundada pelos integrantes do Núcleo Espírita “Amantes da Pobreza”, em 1966, nos princípios do assistencialismo e da educação espírita, na tentativa de amparar as crianças de um mês a seis anos, no período integral, e crianças de sete a 13 anos, no contraturno escolar. O Berçário foi fundado em 1997, pelos representantes da Prefeitura Municipal de Marília, por meio da Secretaria Municipal da Educação, com objetivo de atender, pela municipalidade, crianças de quatro meses a dois anos de idade. Após essa constatação, buscou-se compreender quais as contribuições das duas instituições para a história da educação infantil em Marília, em momentos históricos distintos. Mediante abordagem histórica, centrada em pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, desenvolvida por meio da utilização dos procedimentos de localização, recuperação, reunião, seleção, ordenação e análise de fontes documentais e leitura de bibliografia especializada, elaborou-se o documento intitulado Creche “Ignácio de Loyola Torres” e Berçário Municipal “Mãe Cristina”: um instrumento de pesquisa (1959-2013). Por considerá-los como fontes documentais mais representativas e significativas, em relação aos objetos de pesquisa, foi selecionado como corpus documental, para a análise da configuração textual, o conjunto de 104 atas manuscritas com os registros de reuniões administrativas da diretoria da Creche “Ignácio de Loyola Torres”, no período entre 1959 e 1991; e um Contrato de Comodato, do ano de 1997, com condições estabelecidas pelo Núcleo Espírita “Amantes da Pobreza”, por meio da “Creche Ignácio de Loyola Torres”, para empréstimo do prédio para a Prefeitura Municipal de Marília para a instalação do Berçário Municipal “Mãe Cristina”. A análise do conjunto dos documentos selecionados, complementada pelo conjunto de fontes localizadas e pela bibliografia especializada sobre o tema, possibilitou concluir que a fundação, as continuidades e transformações dessas instituições estudadas são importantes na composição da história da educação infantil no município de Marília e no Brasil, contribuindo também para a compreensão do presente.

In this master dissertation, are presented the final results of a research linked to the Research Group “History of Education and Teaching Language and Literature in Brazil” (GPHEELLB), coordinated by Maria do Rosário Mortatti. With the objectives of contributing to the production of the history and preservation the memory of education in the city of Marília/SP, and supporting related researches, it was focused on aspects still little explored in the history of nursery in the city of Marília/SP, related, through the study of the history of "Ignacio de Loyola Torres" Nursery and of "Mãe Cristina" Municipal Nursery. The Nursery was founded by members of the Spiritist Center "Amantes da Pobreza", in 1966, in the principles of the welfarism and the spiritist education, in an attempt to support children from one month to six years old, in the fulltime basis, and children from seven to thirteen years old, in the counter-round school. The Municipal Nursery was founded in 1997 by representatives of the City Hall of Marília, through the Municipal Secretary of Education, with the purpose of attending, by municipality, the children from four months to two years of age. After this finding, it was sought to understand what contributions of the two institutions to the history of early childhood education, at different historical moments. Through a historical approach, focused on documental and bibliographical research, developed through the use of procedures for locating, recovering, assembling, selecting, ordering and analyzing documentary sources and reading specialized bibliography, the document entitled "Ignacio de Loyola Torres” Nursery and "Mãe Cristina" Municipal Nursery: a research instrument (1959-2013) was elaborated. Considering them as more representative and significant documental sources in relation to the research objects, they were selected as documental corpus, for the analysis of the textual configuration, the set of 104 handwritten records with the recordings of administrative meetings of the board of "Ignacio de Loyola Torres" Nursery, between 1959 and 1991; and a Lending Contract of the year 1997, with conditions established by the members of the Spiritist Nucleus "Amantes da Pobreza", through "Ignacio de Loyola Torres Nursery", to lending of the building to the City Hall of Marília for the installation of the "Mãe Cristina" Municipal Nursery. The analysis of the set of selected documents, complemented by the set of localized sources and by the specialized bibliography on the theme, allowed us to conclude that the foundation, the continuities and transformations of these studied institutions are important in the composition of the history of early childhood in the municipality of Marília and in Brazil, contributing to the comprehension of the present.
