THE PRODUCTION IN JOURNALS (FROM 2014 TO 2020) ON THE HISTORY OF SEXUAL EDUCATION IN BRAZIL: PERSPECTIVES AND TENDENCIES

Abstract

The production in journals is a resource not only to gather information, but, it is an element of the knowledge production chain in a given area; it is the peak point of the research with the scientific dissemination of the developed product. It provides other researchers with a state of the art as well as allowing criticism about the production and the opportunity for further investigations. In this way, the time cut, inclusion and exclusion criteria are the most applied form of production. The objective of this research is to find in Brazilian periodicals, from 2014 to 2020, the history of Sexual Education in Brazil. It is a bibliographic research and the analysis of the listed articles are outlined from the specific objectives of the study, namely: 1) historical approaches / perspectives of production; 2) presentation of a brief analysis of future trends for the studies of Sexual Education in the continuity of the current century. It is concluded that among the main approaches / perspectives in the history of Sexual Education in Brazil, all, without exception, seek reflection and updating in the current context of the country; as a future analysis of trends, the journals indicate promising studies, still to be developed. There is, therefore, in the listed journals, a history of Sexual Education committed to the past and the present, but, above all, to the area's future and its contribution to a production in human sexuality based on democracy, citizenship and individual liberties and collective.
