Resumo

The concept of gender refers to the cultural mechanisms that build on the commonalities that can be understood as male or female in a given society. Referring to cultural theories in their poststructuralist constructs, we propose to discuss the binomial gender-body activities present within Physical Education. From justified essay poststructuralist problematizations, we argue that the mischaracterization of some activities as predominantly female or male could be explored starting with the contents of the lessons to reconstruct representations of masculinity and femininity, pluralizing the possible configurations of corporeal subjects. The measured results show that the pedagogical practices of physical education can contribute to reinforce inequalities based on gender social conflict that arise as the classes cease to be problematized. We show that these relations are produced and repeated in classes since kindergarten, as well as produce impacts on practice of physical activities in adulthood, indicating that many choices for corporal practices can translate into cultural determination that can be problematized.
