Este trabalho busca situar o conceito de literatura digital, ou seja, a “estética e forma
literária produzida e lida em suportes digitais” (Gainza, 2020), bem como pontuar
suas complexidades no contexto do ensino de literatura, mapear as tendências e os
impasses presentes nas investigações sobre o assunto no país e, por fim, analisar
as influências das discussões sobre a literatura digital e suas representações sociais
no ensino e na formação dos professores de literatura por meio do material
levantado. Para isso, realizou-se o levantamento e a análise da produção científica
brasileira, como artigos, dissertações e teses publicados entre 2016 a 2021 em
quatro bancos de dados: o Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações (CAPES), o SciELO, o
Observatório da Literatura Digital Brasileira e o Núcleo de Pesquisas em Informática,
Literatura e Linguística (NUPILL). A metodologia consiste no levantamento do
estado da arte (Ferreira, 2002; 2021) sobre o assunto, e, então, na análise das
produções acadêmicas. Durante o processo do levantamento do corpus, foram
encontrados 15 artigos científicos, 5 dissertações e 4 teses sobre o assunto. A
pesquisa conta com as contribuições teóricas de Hayles (2009), Aarseth (1997),
Barthes (2004; 2012), Chartier (2011; 2017), entre outros, para elucidar questões
relacionadas aos novos suportes e suas relações com a literatura digital. A fim de
analisar o material encontrado, foram consideradas três categorias: “as
manifestações literárias”, em que se pensa nas obras digitais mencionadas pelos
autores; “a tecnologia e a literatura digital”, em que observa-se uso das ferramentas
tecnológicas utilizadas na produção e leitura dessas obras literárias e, finalmente, “a
circulação teórico-metodológica”, que possibilita analisar o percurso teórico
desenvolvido pelos autores e suas principais influências. Como resultados,
encontram-se a complexidade de categorização de gêneros literários no contexto
eletrônico, uma tendência a se pensar no impacto dos diferentes suportes na
produção e leitura do texto literário e, também, uma preocupação com o processo de
acervo e conservação de literatura digital. Os impasses encontrados dizem respeito
ao ensino de literatura eletrônica, de modo que as relações entre tecnologia,
literatura e ensino estão pautadas no uso das ferramentas tecnológicas enquanto
mediadoras de leitura. Por fim, conclui-se que a dissertação possibilita um
entendimento sobre o movimento do campo literário digital, bem como um olhar para
as perspectivas dos estudos sobre literatura digital desenvolvidos no país.

This research aims to understand the concept of electronic literature, in other words,
the "aesthetic and literary form created and read in digital supports" (Gainza, 2020),
as well as to point out its complexities in the context of literature teaching, to map the
tendencies and the obstacles in the investigations about the subject in the country
and, finally, to analyze the influences of the discussions about electronic literature
and their social representations in education and in literature teaching formation
through the material found. To do so, a data survey and analysis of the Brazilian
scientific production was made, such as articles, master’s and doctoral theses
published between 2016 and 2021 in four databases: the Catálogo de Teses e
Dissertações (CAPES), the SciELO, the Observatório de Literatura Digital Brasileira
and the Núcleo de Pesquisas em Informática, Literatura e Linguística (NUPILL). The
methodology consists in the survey of the state of the art (Ferreira, 2002; 2021)
about the subject and, later, in the analysis of the scientific production. During the
surveying of the materials, there were found 15 academic articles, 5 master’s theses
and 4 doctoral theses about the subject. The research relies on the theoretical
contributions of Hayles (2009), Aarseth (1997), Barthes (2004; 2012), Chartier (2011;
2017) et al in order to elucidate the questions about the new supports and their
relations with electronic literature. In order to analyze the material found, three
categories were considered”: “the literary expressions”, in which the digital works are
observed; “technology and electronic literature”, where the use of technological
software in the production and reading of these literary works are noted and, finally,
“the theoretical-methodological movement”, which allows the analysis of the
theoretical thinking developed by the authors and their main influences. As the
results, there were found the complexity of genre categorization in the electronic
literature context, a tendency to think about the impact of different supports in the
production and reading of the literary text and a concern about the process of
collection and maintenance of electronic literature. The obstacles found are related to
electronic literature teaching, in such a way that the relations between technology,
literature and teaching are based on the use of technological tools as reading
mediators. Finally, it concludes that this master’s thesis allows an understanding
about the movement of the digital literature field, as well as a look to the perspectives
of the studies about electronic literature developed in the country.
