Ethos discursivo da influenciadora Cíntia Chagas e uma visão de "língua" e "elegância"

Abstract

Este artigo resulta de uma pesquisa de Iniciação científica e analisa o Ethos Discursivo da influenciadora Cíntia Chagas, investigando como seu discurso constrói representações sobre língua e elegância. A influenciadora se posiciona como autoridade no ensino do “português correto” nas redes sociais, recorrendo a um tom irônico que produz formas sutis de violência simbólica. A pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa e interpretativista, fundamenta-se na Análise do Discurso francesa, especialmente em conceitos de Pêcheux e Maingueneau. O corpus reúne postagens do Instagram, com vídeos e legendas sobre usos da língua. A análise demonstra a presença velada de preconceito linguístico, manifestado nas falas e na cenografia discursiva. Conclui-se que tais discursos, sob aparência de leveza e humor, contribuem para reforçar a exclusão social ao valorizar a norma padrão e deslegitimar outras formas de expressão linguística.

This article analyzes the Discursive Ethos of influencer Cíntia Chagas, investigating how her discourse constructs representations of language and elegance. The influencer positions herself as an authority on teaching “correct portuguese” on social media, using an ironic tone that produces subtle forms of symbolic violence. The research, based on a qualitative and interpretivist approach, is grounded in French Discourse Analysis, particularly in the concepts of Pêcheux and Maingueneau. The corpus consists of Instagram posts, including videos and captions about language use. The analysis reveals the veiled presence of linguistic prejudice, manifested in her statements and in the discursive scenography. It is concluded that such discourses, under the guise of lightness and humor, contribute to reinforcing social exclusion by valuing the standard norm and delegitimizing other forms of linguistic expression.
