SPEECH ON THE PROHIBITION OF THE NON-HETEROSEXUAL BODY: REPUBLIC OF ASSASSINS AS A FORM OF STRUGGLE AND RESISTANCE DEVICES

Abstract

The work under analysis includes the study of the visibility of transgenderism in terms of its aspects of interdiction and struggles in the spectrum of the microphysics of knowledge-power and resistance during the military dictatorship in Brazil and in contemporary times through resistance to the hegemonic power of heterosexuality and the interdiction of a non-binary lifestyle. The tensions of gender inequalities since the time when the work Republic of the Assassins was drafted as a paradigm for discourse along with other authors such as Butler, Foucault and associations and institutions for the protection of human life have led to the emergence of social movements to confront inequalities, such as: action by judicial bodies against interdiction and the appearance in the media of people with a gender identity that differs from the dominant historical heteropatriarchalism in seeking their spaces, even if heterotopic. These are people who have the freedom to be who they are, even in the face of the fact that we are in the country that kills the most trans people in the world, according to the National Association of Transvestites and Transsexuals (ANTRA). The aim of this work is to show that gender interdictions include aspects of dependence and the absence of freedom for the subject in themselves due to the various forms of interdiction from the past that remain in the present, where not being able to be who they are within institutions guided by institutionalized imposed heteronormativity, opts for the dismantling of the rights to life of minorities and which, although it is linked to the period of the dictatorship, shows its reality today.
