Emergência diacrônica de marcadores discursivos de base verbal atuantes na organização textual-interativa em diferentes sequências textuais

Abstract

Com base na Gramática Textual-Interativa (GTI) e no Sociofuncionalismo, a proposta deste trabalho é descrever a emergência diacrônica de marcadores discursivos (MDs) de base verbal no processo de organização textual-interativa. Dois são os objetivos específicos: (i) descrever o processo de trajetória de mudança linguística de acabar que, acontecer que, começar que e saber que, considerando o reconhecimento de construções que se abstratizam ao longo de um continuum, de um uso como predicado matriz em direção a um emprego como MD sequenciador de tópico discursivo; (ii) analisar a sequência textual em que cada construção ocorre, examinando se haveria mudança na sequência em que a construção aparece conforme varia o estágio de mudança linguística e se, ao se fixar como MD, cada marcador seria mais prototípico de uma dada sequência textual; havendo MDs mais característicos de sequências específicas, nosso objetivo ainda incluía discutir como especificidades de uma sequência textual estariam vinculadas ao uso de um MD típico daquela sequência. O material de análise consiste em peças teatrais do PB produzidas entre os séculos XIX e XXI, do projeto Língua EmCena; os critérios analíticos são os traços identificadores dos MDs definidos pela GTI, junto com análises da frequência de ocorrência das construções ao longo do período analisado. Feito o levantamento de dados, não foi identificada nenhuma ocorrência de acabar que e começar que nas peças em análise, o que fez com que nosso trabalho ficasse restrito às construções com acontecer e saber. Quanto a saber que, até o momento, identificamos que a variedade de funções que saber que pode exercer pode favorecer o uso como uma construção cristalizada com função de MD. Além disso, observando o perfil social dos personagens/informantes que fazem uso de (eu só) sei que como MD na sincronia mais recente do Língua EmCena, temos considerado que esse marcador tenderia a aparecer mais na fala de informantes do sexo/gênero feminino e de classe social mais baixa. Quanto a acontecer que, identificamos uma menor produtividade, o que pode ser explicado pela admissível especialização de acontecer como predicado matriz. Na continuação da pesquisa, daremos seguimento às análises iniciadas, buscando detalhar a trajetória de mudança linguística de acontecer que e saber que até chegarem à função de MD.

Based on Interactive Textual Grammar (ITG) and Sociofunctionalism, the purpose of this paper is to describe the diachronic emergence of verbal-based discourse markers (DMs) in the process of interactive textual organization. There are two specific objectives: (i) to describe the process of linguistic change trajectory of ‘acabar que’, ‘acontecer que’, ‘começar que’ and ‘saber que’, considering the recognition of constructions that are abstracted along a continuum, from a use as a matrix predicate towards a use as a DM sequencing a discursive topic; (ii) to analyze the textual sequence in which each construction occurs, examining whether there would be a change in the sequence in which the construction appears as the stage of linguistic change varies and whether, by becoming fixed as a DM, each marker would be more prototypical of a given textual sequence; if there are DMs that are more characteristic of specific sequences, our objective also included discussing how specificities of a textual sequence would be linked to the use of a typical DM of that sequence. The material for analysis consists of PB plays produced between the 19th and 21st centuries, from the ‘Língua EmCena’ project; the analytical criteria are the identifying features of the MDs defined by the GTI, together with analyses of the frequency of occurrence of the constructions throughout the period analyzed. After the data collection, no occurrence of ‘acabar que’ and ‘começar que’ was identified in the plays under analysis, which meant that our work was restricted to the constructions with ‘acontecer’ and ‘saber’. Regarding ‘saber que’, up to now, we have identified that the variety of functions that ‘saber que’ can perform may favor its use as a crystallized construction with the function of MD. Furthermore, observing the social profile of the informants who use ‘(eu só) sei que’ as MD in the most recent ‘Língua EmCena’ synchrony, we have considered that this marker would tend to appear more in the speech of informants of the female sex/gender and of lower social class. Regarding ‘acontecer que’, we have identified a lower productivity, which can be explained by the admissible specialization of happening as a matrix predicate. In the continuation of the research, we will continue the analyses initiated, seeking to detail the trajectory of linguistic change of ‘acontecer que’ and ‘saber que’ until they reach the function of MD.
