Introduction: Knowledge Organization constitutes a cultural construction, permeated by values located in space and time, and characterized by a helical nature-open and ascending circular-an aspect that reflects the dynamics of the discursive communities interacting within it, permeated by transformative social forces and for an ethics of reciprocity between communicating individuals. Objectives: We seek to discuss the nature and characteristics of the triad of discursive communities interacting there-the producer, the user and the organizer/mediator-notably from a perspective of selforganization and in a dynamic movement of helical configuration as an alternative to better understand the processes, instruments and products involved. Methods: This is a reflection of a theoretical-speculative nature, based on a section of international literature on Knowledge Organization in its sociocultural aspect compared with issues related to discursive communities in order to support the argument about the communicative nature of this context. Results: The need to consider that those responsible for developing knowledge organization and representation processes as well as those responsible for the idealization and elaboration of knowledge organization systems equally constitute a discursive community which, in turn, must be in full accordance with the other two in order to provide a transcultural ethics of mediation that includes different cultural aspects and their relationships in order to guarantee an effective cultural guarantee. Conclusion: Considering that knowledge organization represents a human need throughout history, it is believed that the notion of self-organization in the triad of discursive communities involved – production, reception and treatment – when understood in terms of a synergetic, epistemological and ontological vision, it gives greater theoretical meaning and better explanation to the processes, instruments and products involved.en
