A análise estatística utilizada foi Two-way ANOVA/Tukey.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the bond strength of resin, conventional and self-adhesive cements, in a normal dentin and sclerotic artificially. Sixty-six (N = 66) human molars, donated by Teeth Bank of Araraquara Dental School, were selected and randomly divided according to the type of dentin: normal (n = 33) and sclerotic artificially (n = 33). Then normal dentin group was subdivided into N ARC, N-U200 and N-AC + U200 in accordance with the type of cementing protocol: RelyX ™ ARC RelyX ™ U200 and additional conditioning with phosphoric acid 37% by 15 "+ RelyX ™ U200; and the sclerotic substrate was artificially subdivided into M-ARC M-H U200 and U200 AC + following the same protocol cementing. A (n = 1) specimen from each group was subjected to analysis of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The cementing was carried out with the aid of a metallic mold Teflon. After the storage period in a humid environment for 24 hours at 37 ° C, the specimens were adapted to a device for testing the bond strength of the microshear. The statistical analysis used was Two-way ANOVA / Tukey. There were no statistical difference between the dentinal substrates and cementation protocols. The resin cement RelyX ARC showed higher bond strength values (N = 77.60 ARC and ARC-H = 68.40), regardless of the substrate. The pattern of prevalent fracture was of adhesive type of cement and dentin. The microscopy images showed that the selfadhesive cement RelyX U200 is unable to form hybrid layer. It follows that the selfadhesive cement bond strength has to microshear similar to conventional cement, independent of the substrate normal or sclerotic dentin be artificially.
