Produção Cultural em Rondônia: a significação do cotidiano pelo viés literário

Resumo
Esta tese resulta de um estudo previamente realizado sobre a produção cultural em Rondônia, considerando-se o viés literário. Os textos objeto de análise foram produzidos e publicados ao longo de um século, de 1909 a 2014, e foram ordenados em quatro grupos: a) textos publicados no jornal The Porto Velho Marconigram; b) textos publicados na primeira metade do século XX (1909-1956) no jornal Alto Madeira; c) textos publicados na segunda metade do século XX (1960-2000) no jornal Alto Madeira; d) textos publicados nas primeiras décadas do século XXI (2001-2014) nas mídias digitais (Internet). Por se tratar de um extenso período de tempo, a análise foi feita por amostragem, permitindo observar os contatos e confluências entre a Literatura e os suportes midiáticos ao longo do tempo. A análise levou em consideração as estratégias utilizadas pelos autores e as especificidades dos suportes destes textos, tendo por objetivo realizar releituras e revisões interpretativas capazes de discutir como as produções são marcadas e tensionadas discursivamente pela cultura e pelas identidades. A metodologia primou pelo olhar interdiscursivo, plural e interdisciplinar. A princípio foram buscados jornais, blogs, sites, páginas em redes sociais que trazem a Literatura produzida em Rondônia. Em seguida, deu-se a triagem das produções encontradas: categorização conforme características. Por fim, analisaram-se as produções literárias em um entrecruzamento com conceitos e informações obtidos na fundamentação teórica. A análise revelou que boa parte das produções se fixa em abordagens históricas as quais respondem a uma necessidade de inscrição das produções no espaço e no tempo, fixando sentidos e referenciando identidades, crenças e costumes capazes de responder ao que é ser rondoniense.
This Ph.D. dissertation is a result of an earlier study of cultural production in Rondônia, Brazil, through literary texts. The analysis focuses on texts produced and published during the course of a century, that is, from 1909 to 2014. The material was divided into three groups: texts published in the first half of the twentieth century (1909-1956) in the newspaper Alto Madeira; b) texts published in the second half of the twentieth century (1960-2000) in the newspaper Alto Madeira; c) texts published in the first decades of the twenty-first century (2001-2014) on the Internet. Since the research proposal covers a long period of time, the analysis was conducted by sampling in order to verify the connections between literature and media over time. The investigation took into account the strategies used by the authors and where the texts were published, which led to discussions on how they are discursively marked by culture and identities. The approach was interdiscursive and interdisciplinary. At the beginning of the research, newspapers, blogs, websites, and pages on social networks containing literature produced in Rondônia were selected. The texts were screened and then classified according to their compositional characteristics. Finally, the dissertation examines the interrelations between the literary productions and the theoretical concepts studied. The analysis revealed that most of the production is restricted to historical approaches which respond to a need for setting the local productions in space and time, establishing directions, and also endorsing identities, beliefs and customs capable of answering what it means to be a rondoniense.
