Uma semiótica da cultura para organização do conhecimento: bases teóricas e diretrizes de análise

Resumo
O conhecimento é um elemento abstrato e individual, cuja manifestação acontece a partir das relações dialógicas estabelecidas em contextos históricos, sociais e culturais que compartilhamos. Organizar e representar conhecimentos, implica em uma tarefa semiótica de reconhecimento dos contextos, das linguagens, não apenas com a ideia de comunicar, mas como parte de processos sociais em transformação. A Semiótica da Cultura, como um campo de estudos da linguagem na cultura, isto é, na semiosfera cultural, nos permite revisitar alguns conceitos como a noção de cultura, linguagem, tradução, modelização e competência semiótica, nos propondo uma síntese destes, antes analisados por áreas como a Linguística, a Sociologia e a Antropologia. Com base nesses conceitos somado às reflexões socioculturais do campo da Organização do Conhecimento, buscamos saber como a Semiótica da Cultura pode colaborar com processos de organização e representação do conhecimento? Para isso sistematizamos as bases da Semiótica da Cultura para Organização do Conhecimento. A pesquisa é teórica, bibliográfica de natureza qualitativa. Partimos do método interpretativo para a análise de um instrumento de representação, o tesauro, tendo em vista que desenvolvemos nossas observações com base na literatura da Semiótica da Cultura e da Organização do Conhecimento. As reflexões elaboradas a partir das bases semióticas e socioantropológicas puderam evidenciar que os processos de representação precisam ser revistos no sentido de dar conta de modelos de representação que considerem os contextos das comunidades, sendo esta uma atitude ética para a organização do conhecimento. A representação ainda é limitada quando não reconhecemos as comunidades como protagonistas no fazer da representação. Os contextos necessitam ser reconhecidos, os sujeitos devem ser consultados e ainda não podemos nos limitar aos signos linguísticos, pois a cultura possui uma variação de linguagens que podem dar conta de representar as localidades. Portanto, a análise semiocultural nos indica que precisamos buscar a partir de uma competência semiótica a validação das comunidades, de seu conhecimento e dos fenômenos culturais para que possamos traduzir a cultura de modo que esta possa ser representada, não pelo olhar de quem elabora os instrumentos, mas da própria cultura. As diferenças precisam ser respeitadas pois as comunidades reúnem aspectos multiculturais e transculturais que descrevem a realidade. A semiótica da Cultura contribui para a Ciência da Informação e, em particular, para o campo da Organização do Conhecimento, pois há na Semiótica da Cultura conceitos que podem ser incorporados à organização e representação do conhecimento, para uma análise semiocultural dos fenômenos culturais e dos contextos das comunidades, viabilizando uma representação ética do conhecimento.
Knowledge is an abstract and individual element, whose manifestation takes place from dialogical relations established in historical, social and cultural contexts which we share. Organizing and representing knowledge implies a semiotic task of recognizing language contexts not only with the idea of communicating, but also as part of a changing social process. The Semiotics of Culture, as a field of study on language in the culture, that is, in the cultural semiosphere, allows us to review some concepts such as the notion of culture, language, translation, modelling and semiotic competence, proposing a synthesis of them, which were previously analyzed by area such as Linguistics, Sociology and Anthropology. Based on these concepts and on the sociocultural reflections of the Knowledge Organization field, we seek to know how the Semiotics of Culture can collaborate with processes of organization and representation of knowledge. To that end, we summarized the basis of Semiotics of Culture for Knowledge Organization. The research is theoretical, bibliographic of a qualitative nature. We start from the interpretative method for the analysis of an instrument of representation, the thesaurus, considering that we developed our observations based on the literature of the Semiotics of Culture and the Knowledge Organization. The reflections elaborated from the semiotics and socioanthropological bases could prove that the processes of representation need to be reviewed in order to handle the models of representation which consider the contexts of communities. This is and ethical attitude for the organization. Representation is still limited when we do not recognize the communities as the leading figures in the representation process. Contexts need to be recognized, subjects must be consulted and we cannot limit ourselves to the linguistic signs, since the culture has a range of languages which can represent the localities. Therefore, the semiocultural analysis shows that we need to seek the validation of communities, their knowledge and cultural phenomena from the semiotic competence, so we can translate the culture in a way it can be represented not by the perspective of the one who elaborates the instruments, but by the culture itself. The differences need to be respected as communities gather multicultural and cross-cultural aspects which describe the reality. The Semiotics of Culture contributes to Science of Information and, in particular, to the Knowledge Organization field as the Semiotics of Culture carries concepts that can be incorporated into the organization and representation of knowledge, for a semiocultural analysis of cultural phenomena and the contexts of communities, enabling an ethic representation of knowledge.
