This work aims to identify and analyze the stereotypes of female gender roles present in the portraits disclosed in the Instagram profiles of Brazilian digital influencers. Mainly, we have focused on digital influencers that have won the Brazilian Digital Influencers Award 2018 in the beauty category. The research was exploratory and interpretive. The methodologic path has delineated according to the content analysis of Bardin and Shinoda's research. The empirical categories in the transdisciplinary perspective, such as art, philosophy, philosophy of media, sociology, psychology, and Critical Theory, have constituted the theoretical background. We chose to explore Sherman's art in this research in an unusual way in science, taken as a theoretical approach. We emphasize that the discourse of Sherman's art has the intention to decipher what underlies stereotypical images of women. In contrast, the portrayals of the influencer have intended to use the stereotypes of female roles for marketing purposes. The results suggest that some highlighted female stereotypes in Sherman's works were indeed present in the images of digital influencers. To illustrate: white and slim women, with straight or curly hair, elegant, wearing makeup, romantic, sensual, with exuberant curves in evidence, concerned with physical attractiveness and, rarely, paid worker women. Sherman used the makeup, clothing, and accessories as a means of self-transformation in her images. However, the portraits of the digital influencers have not longer evoked stereotypes of the naive, emotional, vulnerable, helpless, and crazy woman at home, as Sherman's images used to show. Instead, they have pointed out the stereotypes of successful and independent women. We observed the stereotypes of an autonomous woman, consumerist, tourist, childlike, happy, sociable, prosperous, and beloved. However, portraits underlined the image of women dependent on the admiration of her peers and her followers' network and a narcissistic fragile woman. Makeup has used as a beauty standard feature to give the effect of an oval face, thick and well-defined lips and eyebrows, a thin nose, expressive and sharp eyes. This study particularly highlighted the tourists' female stereotype because it has not described in the scientific literature yet. Tourism and makeup, and elegant clothing and accessories were luxurious artifacts to show off the constant women consumerism linked with subtly advertising, which was formatted by a suggestion of products and services to followers. Portraits used stereotypes to strengthen the profile's popularity while propagating an idealized lifestyle based on supposed full happiness, connected to the consumption of specific goods and services. It depicts a hedonistic ideal of wealth and glamor that prioritizes leisure, body worship, travel, and entertainment in a daily association displayed by celebrities. The stereotypes that emphasize a luxurious life ideal, simultaneously cover or devalue the role of working women or women who do not have access to these goods. We conclude that influencer portraits appealed to various standardized stereotypes of female gender roles. At the same time, they have dislocated compulsory heterosexuality and mandatory marriage to a more autonomous woman who may be single or who may choose a homosexual partnership. Although the portraits of the influencers promoted dislocations of the naturalized notions of women, the market illusions have been leading the portraits images. In other words, it process unifies the woman's body in an attempt to standardize dreams and consumption behaviors that do not reflect feminist achievements.
