Resumo
Rondônia é destaque no cenário nacional com a maior produção de peixe nativo no país e a região de Ariquemes o maior polo produtor do Estado. Este trabalho tem como escopo contribuir para descrever o processo produtivo da produção aquícola na região estudada. No contexto, o trabalho gerou indicadores técnicos e econômicos de piscicultura no principal polo produtivo de tambaqui do Estado de Rondônia, a região de Ariquemes. Utilizou-se a técnica de coleta de dados secundários e realizada entrevista com os produtores de peixe. Foram comparados níveis de tecnologia adotados por 42 piscicultores elegendo-se padrões tecnológicos a partir da definição de índices tecnológicos para um conjunto de 46 variáveis relevantes nos sistemas produtivos da produção do tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) em Ariquemes, principal espécie cultivada em Rondônia. Intervalos de variação dos índices gerais permitiram estabelecer quatro padrões classificatórios (de A a D sendo A o melhor e D o pior). O índice Geral para a amostra analisada indica o padrão B de tecnologia. Para a análise econômica tomou-se três pisciculturas (denominadas X, Y, Z), duas com padrão mais geral situado na média (padrão B) e uma com índice geral de tecnologia distinto e menor (padrão C). A viabilidade econômica ficou conFigurada para os três casos com índices de lucratividade, TIR e Payback distintos. A piscicultura Y detentora de melhor índice de tecnologia a maior produtividade por área e revelou melhores índices econômicos, comprovando resposta positiva para esforços de melhorias nos pacotes tecnológicos adotados. A piscicultura em Rondônia ainda sofre com problemas relacionados a logística e níveis de preços menores face a outros polos de piscicultura no Brasil, o que limita inversões de capital para adoção de pacotes tecnológicos mais avançados.
Fish farming in Brazil has been progressing in dynamic performance, production protagonism and supply of animal protein sources. Rondônia is in the spotlight in the national scenario with the largest production of native fish in the country and the region of Ariquemes as the largest production hub in the state of Rondônia. This research aims to contribute to the description of the productive process of the aquaculture production in the studied region. In this context, this work produced technical and economic indicators of fish farming in the main productive hub of tambaqui in the state of Rondônia, in the region of Ariquemes. The technic of secondary data collection was used and we conducted inteview with the fish farmers. We compared levels of technology used by 42 fish farmers by choosing technological patterns from the definition of technological indices to a set of 46 variables relevant in the productive systems of tambaqui farming (Colossoma macropomum) in Ariquemes, main species cultivated in Rondônia. Variation ranges of the general indices allow the establishment of four classificatory patterns (from A to D in which A is the best and D the worst). The general index for the sample analised indicates pattern B of technology. For the economic analysis we used three fish farms (called X, Y and Z), in which two had a more general pattern located in the average level (pattern B) and one had a general index of technology that was distinct and smaller (pattern C). Economic viability was configured for the three cases with distinct indices of profitability, IRR and Payback. Fish farm Y has the best index of technology, the greatest productivity by area and revealed the best economic indices, which demonstrates a positive answer to the efforts towards improvement in the technological measures adopted. Fish farming in Rondônia still undergoes problems related to logistics and levels of prices lower than other hubs of fish farming in Brazil, which reduces the fostering of capital investments for the adoption of more advanced technological measures.
