The present work sought to develop a historical-theoretical research capable of providing a robust analysis on the influence of the debate between Friedrich A. von Hayek and Piero Sraffa, on the Austrian Economic Cycle Theory. We found, despite the negative influence that the debate had on the Austrian School's research program until the 1930s, which opened the door to a Keynesian rise, satisfactory responses to scientific analyzes of the theory that were used, even if, in some cases, late.
