Resumo
This paper aims to study neologism formation processes available on digital media Instagram, in 2017, from the words sabadar, plenissimo, estranhice, carnistas, contatinho, prenada, baile, stalker, stalkeio e meme. We based on theoretical assumptions of Portuguese morphology and we checked possible record of these selected words in the dictionaries Houaiss (2009), Aurelio (FERREIRA, 2009), and Michaelis (2017), besides acceptance of the language community. As a result of our research, neologisms produced by suffix derivation process were the most productive cases.
