Resumo

Gender inequality in Civil Engineering and in construction site exists and this needs to be reported. In this sense, a qualitative research was carried out with men and women who work or who have already worked on a construction site, in order to collect data and reports that show these women-man relationships at the construction site and how these women experience their experiences at from the social construction of gender (male/female) imposed from an early times. The skills and efforts of women in the work performed on the construction site is always put in doubt by men, having to prove and impose themselves daily to be respected. It was concluded that the society has taken several positive steps on the path of gender equality. The culture of work through the mentality of people (social practice)who exercise some function on the construction site, especially men, is still very restricted in terms of relation to the female presence in the daily life of the construction sites and there is still a lot of misogyny and harassment in Civil Construction.
