Motivações para participar de comunidades que sustentam a agricultura (CSA): uma revisão bibliográfica

Abstract

CSA schemes, communities that sustain agriculture, are increasingly growing as alternatives for the production and marketing of food. Although the number of studies regarding CSAs has grown in the last 5 years, there is still a demand to clarify the role played by the consumers and farmers within the CSAs. Therefore, this work sought, through a systematic literature review, to elucidate about the socioeconomic profile of the members and how they relate to the benefits they seek by joining the CSA. The results show that the CSA are formed mostly by women, between 30 and 50 years old, with a high level of education, whose main motivations for adherence are related to health benefits such as consuming fresh food without pesticides. While farmers are looking for a group of people to finance production before planting and share the financial risks.

Os esquemas de CSA, comunidades que sustentam a agricultura, crescem cada vez mais como alternativas de produção e comercialização de alimentos. Apesar do número de estudos sobre o desenvolvimento das CSAs crescer nos últimos 5 anos, ainda existe a demanda de esclarecer qual é o papel que os associados têm dentro das CSAs. Portanto, este trabalho buscou, através de uma revisão bibliográfica sistemática, elucubrar sobre o perfil socioeconômico dos associados e como eles se relacionam com os benefícios que eles buscam ao aderir a CSA. Os resultados apontam que os CSA são formados majoritariamente por mulheres, entre 30 e 50 anos, com alta escolaridade, cujas motivações principais de adesão se relacionam a benefícios de saúde como consumir alimentos frescos, sem agrotóxico e pesticida. Enquanto os agricultores buscam um grupo de pessoas que financie a produção antes do momento de plantio e compartilhe os riscos financeiros.
