Resumo
A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo compreender o trabalho profissional do(a) assistente social no processo de adoção de crianças. Para isso, é necessário resgatar alguns aspectos históricos do processo de adoção, considerando que alguns mitos e preconceitos se reproduzem ainda hoje em decorrência do seu histórico, que quase sempre, concebeu a adoção como uma filiação de segunda categoria. Foram analisadas as leis que anteriormente regulamentaram a adoção no Brasil e a lei que atualmente a regulamenta, que no caso, é o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente. No decorrer da pesquisa também é apresentado a equipe do Poder Judiciário que atua no processo de adoção de crianças, em especial, o trabalho do(a) assistente social. É necessário apreender a questão social como objeto de trabalho do(a) assistente social e compreender que o abandono de crianças e adolescentes é uma das expressões da questão social. A partir de então é realizada uma reflexão da práxis desse(a) profissional, que se encontra envolvido em todas as etapas do processo de adoção, entre elas: o consentimento à adoção, a destituição do poder familiar, habilitação dos pretendentes à adoção, o encaminhamento das crianças e adolescentes aptos à adoção e o estágio de convivência. Foram ainda abordadas questões referentes ao perfil da criança desejada pelos pretendentes a adoção, que nos revela o racismo estrutural, que é o grande alicerce do sistema capitalista no Brasil. A pesquisa foi construída a partir de uma perspectiva crítica, que permite a apreensão das contradições do movimento socioeconômico da sociedade. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como bibliográfica. Com este estudo, pretende se compreender como o trabalho da(o) assistente social orientado pelo projeto ético-político constrói dialeticamente respostas efetivas à realidade dada nos processos de adoção de crianças.
This research aims to understand the professional work of the social worker in the process of adoption of children. For this, it is necessary to rescue some historical aspects of the adoption process, considering that some myths and prejudices are still reproduced today as a result of its history, which almost always conceived adoption as a second class filiation. We analyzed the laws that previously regulated adoption in Brazil and the law that currently regulates it, which in this case is the Statute of the Child and Adolescent. During the research, the Judiciary team that acts in the process of adoption of children is also presented, especially the work of the social worker. It is necessary to apprehend the social issue as an object of the social worker's work and to understand that the abandonment of children and adolescents is one of the expressions of the social issue. From then on, a reflection of the praxis of this professional is carried out, who is involved in all stages of the adoption process, among them: the consent to adoption, the dismissal of the family power, the qualification of the applicants for adoption, the referral of children and adolescents who are suitable for adoption, and the living together stage. We also approached issues related to the profile of the child desired by the prospective adoptive parents, which reveals the structural racism that is the great foundation of the capitalist system in Brazil. The research was built from a critical perspective, which allows the apprehension of the contradictions of the socioeconomic movement of society. The research is characterized as bibliographical. With this study, it is intended to understand how the work of the social worker guided by the ethical-political project dialectically builds effective answers to the reality given in the processes of adoption of children.
