Instituições de ensino superior privadas como refúgio nas trajetórias das camadas populares

Abstract

Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo analiar os condicionantes que motivaram a desistência de graduandos e graduandas oriundos das camadas populares nos cursos de licenciaturas em universidades públicas e optarem pelo ingresso em instituições privadas de ensino superior. Apoiado no corpus teórico de Pierre Bourdieu, este estudo buscou desvendar na práxis como os conceitos de habitus; capital econômico; capital social; capital cultural, e gênero interferem no tipo de trajetória possível no ensino superior. Para a análise dos dados que foram obtidos por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os quatro agentes selecionados (sendo dois do gênero feminino e dois do gênero masculino) foi empregado o conhecimento praxiológico, também desenvolvido pelo sociólogo e sua equipe. Por meio deste estudo, buscou-se desvelar os mecanismos objetivos que influenciam a trajetória escolar destes grupo de agentes identificando suas principais dificuldades e enfretamentos destes alunos perante o âmbito da universidade pública que interferiram em sua manutenção na mesma e em que medida as instituições de setor privada se tornaram-se opções mais viáveis ao grupo de agentes investigados.

This research had the objective to analyze the conditionings that caused the waiver of undergraduates arising from popular layers on public universities graduation courses choosing to join private institutions for higher education. Supported by Pierre Bourdieu theoretical corpus, this review demanded unraveling practices like the habitus concept, economic capital; social capital; cultural capital; cultural heritage, and gender interfere on this type of possible trajectory for higher education.For the analysis of data obtained through semi-structured interviews with four selected agents (being two female and two male) being employed praxeological knowledge, also developed by a sociologist and his team. Through this study, sought to unveil the objective mechanisms that influence the school path of these groups of agents identifying these students' main difficulties and confrontations towards public university scope that interfered in its maintenance in the same measure as the private institutions became viable options to the group of agents being investigated.
