Do estranhamento ao elogio de uma escola rural por narrativas: Orlando, contribuições para a História da Educação Matemática Brasileira

Resumo
Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo constituir uma versão histórica da Escola Estadual Orlando Quagliato, para auxiliar na compreensão da educação rural paulista nos últimos 50 anos, a partir da criação dessa escola, na década de 1960. Encaminhamos essa pesquisa no campo da História da Educação e da Educação Matemática pois problematizamos um espaço escolar no qual professores de Matemática também atuam, mas sem o foco principal no Ensino da Matemática e sim, nas margens que circundam essa prática e a afetam diretamente. Utilizamos a Metodologia da História Oral para a constituição de entrevistas que nos apresentam elementos fundamentais na construção e encaminhamento dessa tese como a existência de um grupo escolar na zona rural de um município paulista, dentro de uma agroindústria, o movimento das escolas isoladas sendo trocadas pelos grupos escolares e na sequência por escolas estaduais, o assistencialismo na escola, a relação dos alunos, pais e comunidade escolar com os empresários de uma indústria, a discussão de um território particular, regido por regras particulares e insubordinações, o desenvolvimento, auge e decadência de uma escola que reflete toda uma sociedade. Discutimos as políticas públicas sendo praticadas no ambiente escolar, leis, decretos, organizações, currículos, materiais pedagógicos oficiais que regem uma escola e o embate da legalidade com os agentes humanos na práxis pedagógica. Discutimos o dia a dia das professoras e professores que trabalharam em uma escola rural, deslocamento, alunos, pais, gestão, empresários. Discutimos as demandas sociais levadas à escola e as tentativas de soluções através de projetos pedagógicos. Discutimos o poder e influência da agroindústria em uma comunidade em particular. Realizamos, além das entrevistas, um levantamento de leis, documentos e imagens pertencentes à escola em questão e à Diretoria de Ensino da Região de Ourinhos. Elogiamos a escola.
This research aimed to constitute a historical version of the Orlando Quagliato State School, to help the understanding of São Paulo’s rural education in the last 50 years, since the creation of this school, in the 1960s. We carried out this research in the History of Education and Mathematics Education field because we put in doubt a school space in which Mathematics teachers also work, but without the main focus on the Mathematics Teaching, when they actually keep a center of attention on the margins that surround and directly affect this practice. We used the Oral History Methodology for the constitution of interviews that present us with fundamental elements in the construction and forwarding of this thesis, such as the existence of a school group in the rural area of a municipality in São Paulo, inside an agro-industry, the movement of isolated schools being replaced by school groups and then by state schools, the school welfare, the relationship between students, parents and school community with the entrepreneurs of an industry, the discussion of a particular territory, leaded by particular rules and colonial insubordination, the development, rise and decline of a school that reflects an entire society. We discuss public policies being practiced in the school environment, laws, decrees, organizations, curriculums, official pedagogical materials to rule a school and the clash of legality with human agents in the pedagogical praxis. We discussed the daily lives of the teachers who worked in a rural school, displacement, students, parents, management, businessmen. We discussed the social demands brought to the school and the attempts of solutions through pedagogical projects. We discussed the power and influence of agribusiness in a particular community. Besides the interviews, we did a survey of laws, documents and images pertaining to the school in question and the Board of Education of the Ourinhos Region. We praised school.
