Resumo
In the year of 1489, was printed, in the Portuguese city of Chaves, the Tratado de Confissom, prepared by an anonymous author. The word concentrate various preaching for start christian in the rudiments of catholic faith starting, especially, the deadly sing, of the senses of the body and of the ten commandments of God's law. A present research aims to analyze the weight checked, in this treated and other similar, to sins committed orally, know as sins of the tongue, in confrontation with the ways of repentance, correction and instruction equally sustained on the explanation in oral form, particularly at the time of confession. More precisely, the research aims to map the different typos of sin of the tongue and the circumstances in which commonly occur to seek to understand standards of conduct accepted or condemned in 15th century Portuguese society.
