Proposta de verbetes para um e-dicionário de verbos da língua inglesa: foco no aprendiz brasileiro da educação básica

Resumo
Esta dissertação foi desenvolvida no programa de Mestrado Profissional em Docência Para a Educação Básica e surgiu do trabalho desenvolvido durante a Iniciação Científica entre os anos de 2017 e 2018. O trabalho une a importância do ensino de língua inglesa e o uso das tecnologias digitais para a elaboração de recursos pedagógicos, recorrendo a um estudo interdisciplinar entre a Lexicografia, a Pedagogia e as tendências no campo da tecnologia digital para atender à demanda de melhoria do ensino de inglês nos Anos Iniciais. Possui como objetivo a elaboração de e-verbetes português/inglês referentes à letra “C”, elaborados durante o ano de 2020 e 2021, para compor o e-dicionário de verbos. O referido dicionário, fundamentando-se na contrastividade das línguas portuguesa e inglesa, é on-line e destina-se a suprir as necessidades do usuário brasileiro, aprendiz da língua inglesa, uma vez que o consulente apresenta dificuldades em encontrar equivalentes para sua produção de texto e acaba escolhendo a primeira opção sem se atentar para a categoria e o significado da palavra: verbo, substantivo, adjetivo ou advérbio. A metodologia utilizada é de base quantitativa, qualitativa, utiliza como método investigativo a Linguística de Corpus e há uma análise linguístico-semântica conceitual, por meio de dicionários monolíngues e bilíngues. A análise leva à identificação de equivalentes e à redação dos e-verbetes contendo todas as formas verbais dos tempos gramaticais da língua inglesa; exemplos nas formas afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa em português e inglês; ditados populares e expressões comuns. Um modelo de e-verbete foi apresentado a cinco professores de língua inglesa que, após a análise, apresentaram seus comentários através de um questionário elaborado pelo pesquisador. Os e-dicionários surgem com a perspectiva de assegurar resultados mais assertivos ao consulente aprendiz por meio de interface intuitiva. Espera-se que os resultados possam contribuir para futuras pesquisas nas áreas da Educação e da e-Lexicografia.
This research was developed in the Professional Master's Program in Teaching For Basic Education and emerged from the work developed during the Scientific Initiation between the years 2017 and 2018.It unites the importance of English Language teaching and the use of digital technologies for the development of pedagogical resources, using an interdisciplinary study of Lexicography, Pedagogy and trends in the field of digital technology to meet the demand for improving the teaching of English in the Early Years. The objective is the elaboration of Portuguese/English e-entries of the letter “C”, prepared during the year 2020 and 2021, to compose the e-dictionary of verbs. The mentioned dictionary, is based on the contrastivity of the Portuguese and English languages, it is on-line and it intends to meet the needs of the Brazilian user, English language learner, since the consultant has difficulties in finding equivalents for their text production and he ends up choosing the first option without paying attention to the category and meaning of the word: verb, noun, adjective or adverb. The methodology used is quantitative, qualitative, it uses Corpus Linguistics as an investigative method, and there is a conceptual semantic-linguistic analysis, using monolingual and bilingual. The analysis leads to the identification of equivalents and the writing of the e-entries containing all the verb forms ofthe grammatical tenses of the English language; examples in affirmative, negative and interrogative forms in Portuguese and English; popular sayings and common expressions. An e-verbet model was presented to five English teachers, after the analysis, they presented their comments through a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. The e-dictionaries come with the perspective of ensuring more assertive results to the learner through an intuitive interface. It is hoped that the results can contribute to future research in the areas of Education and e-Lexicography.
