Resumo
O trabalho “Emoção e Afeto nos Espetáculos da Cia Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio" parte da exploração dos conceitos de emoção e afeto para pensar como a experiência estética pode ser entendida e contextualizada nos procedimentos teatrais da cia Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio, escolhida por ser exemplar das propostas da cena pós-dramática. Para isso, parte-se da exploração do conceito de catarse, conforme descrito por Pereira (2007), na confecção de um processo experimental de análises quadro-a-quadro de registros audiovisuais dos espetáculos Purgatório, Inferno e Paradiso da Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio (baseados na obra literária A Divina Comédia, de Dante Alighieri). Para delinear a discussão sobre a emoção e seus entendimentos, segundo a história cultural e a teoria estética, em especial, no estudo de Jauss (1994), observa-se algumas teorias das emoções no teatro, com ênfase na recepção teatral, nos estudos de Tait (2016, 2021), Didi-Huberman (2016) e Eagleton (2006). Elabora-se, então, uma abordagem cruzada, que entremeia teoria e prática cênicas, e que justapõem à visão de críticos, artistas e pesquisadores da área (com o suporte de pesquisa bibliográfica) a análise iconográfica e audiovisual; relação entendida como substancial para a discussão do problema do lugar da catarse, do afeto e da emoção no contexto cênico contemporâneo.
The work “Emotion and Affect in the spectacles of Socíetas Raffaello Sanzio cia” aims to explore the concepts of emotion and affect to question how the aesthetic experience can be understood and contextualized in the theatrical proceedings of Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio company. The company has been chosen to be a representative of the post-dramatic scene. This work proposes the analyses “frame-by-frame” of the audiovisual material of the spectacles Purgatorio, Inferno and Paradiso (based in the literary work Divine Comedy, by Dante Alighieri), in an experimental methodology. To help us understand this process, the exploration of the concept of catharsis, described by Pereira (2007) will be applied in the mentioned analyses. At the same time, a discussion about emotion and its understandings in cultural history and aesthetic theory will be held. These concepts will be based on the findings of Jauss (1994) in cross examination with some theories of emotion in theater, focusing on theatrical reception, in authors such as Tait (2016, 2021), Didi-Huberman (2016) and Eagleton (2006). From this point on theory and practical analyses are cross evaluated in relation to the commentaries of critics, artists, and researchers of the field (based on bibliographical support). This relation is understood to be substantial to the discussions of catharsis, affect and emotion in the context of contemporary theater.
