Historicamente, o setor sucroalcooleiro é muito importante para a economia brasileira. Atualmente, o setor sucroenergético é nosso principal meio de produção de energia renovável, a cana-de-açúcar também é responsável pelo abastecimento de açúcar no Brasil e em grande parte do mundo, tornando sua atuação ainda mais ampla na indústria e o crescimento do setor sucroalcooleiro potencializou a geração de grandes quantidades de resíduos como o bagaço da cana-de-açúcar, essa biomassa tem sido alvo de diversos estudos visando seu potencial energético. Busca-se nessa pesquisa apresentar uma revisão bibliográfica acerca das perspectivas da cana-de-açúcar irrigada no Centro Sul do Brasil. A partir das pesquisas consultadas, pretende-se mostrar as características dos diferentes sistemas de irrigação, apresentar estudos que fundamentam como novos arranjos podem favorecer a produtividade, sob a perspectiva do custo-benefício para o desenvolvimento das plantações cana-de-açúcar no Brasil, considerando que o país figura como o maior produtor dessa cultura no mundo. Assim, pretende-se levantar informações sobre os recursos utilizados e os resultados obtidos nos diferentes sistemas de irrigação, para oferecer dados relevantes para estudos da área, bem como contribuir para pesquisas futuras.

Historically, the sugar and ethanol sector is very important for the Brazilian economy. Currently, the sugar-energy sector is our main means of producing renewable energy, sugarcane is also responsible for supplying sugar in Brazil and in much of the world, making its performance even broader in the industry and the growth of the sector. sugarcane has potentiated the generation of large amounts of waste such as sugarcane bagasse, this biomass has been the subject of several studies aiming at its energy potential. The aim of this Course Conclusion Work is to present a bibliographic review about the aspects of irrigated sugarcane in the Center South of Brazil) From the research consulted, it is intended to show the characteristics of the different planting systems, as well as how to present studies that support how new arrangements can favor productivity, from a cost-benefit perspective for the development of sugarcane plantations in Brazil, considering that the country is the largest producer of this crop in the world. Thus, it is intended to gather information on the resources used and the results obtained in the two types of planting, to provide relevant data for studies in the area, as well as to contribute to future research.
